The Pats can thank their lucky stars for Asante Samuel and Wes Welker, because without these two, a perfect season would've been a distant dream. Not that it really matters though considering New England clinched the AFC East with an earlier Buffalo loss. But you know that every other team that Patriots have to face the rest of the way, are about five notches less scared.
Going into this game, who would've thought that the lowly Eagles led by Quaterback A.J. Feeley would completely mock the point spread (of 24 points) and come within a field goal of knocking the Pats of their high horse? It was a notion unthinkable to experts like us, and I'm sure to he rest of the league as well.
Tom Brady played his worse game of the year (only 1 TD, 20 incompletions, and 3 sacks), Randy Moss looked out of sync for the most part, and for the first time this season, we got to witness a mighty monster almost fall. We can't know how the Pats will respond to this. Will they get to practice Tuesday morning with fire in their eyes and come out even stronger? Or are the guys in that Foxboro locker room a little demoralized? Time will tell, but right now, it seems as though the Pats 19-0 run is all but questionable at this point.
I just checked the standings, and ya know what? The Patriots are still unbeaten.
